The Campus Food Pantries (est. 2019 and 2022) are a completely confidential program open during the William & Mary school term (and other select times). They provide students, faculty, and staff at William & Mary access to nonperishable food, household products, feminine hygiene items, and personal hygiene products. We have two locations: the basement of the Wesley House and Room 157 of the Sadler Center.

Looking for food over break?
Because our pantries are staffed by student volunteers, we do not have the capacity to remain open during school breaks. If you need food assistance during these periods, we encourage you to utilize local food pantries and food banks in the area:
We especially recommend the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank for its comprehensive services and ease of access.
During Spring Break, our partners at Wesley Campus Ministry also offer a Spring Break Staycation Program, which provides three free meals per day throughout the break. Information about this program is typically shared beginning in early spring through the Food For All and Wesley Instagram pages, as well as our GroupMe.
Volunteer with us
We rely on an amazing network of volunteers to keep our pantries running smoothly. While our Sadler Pantry is self-service, volunteers help restock it three times a week (M-Th-F) by transporting products from Wesley. Volunteers also support operations at the Wesley Pantry during each shift by accepting donations, assisting visitors, and managing inventory.
To volunteer at either the Wesley or Sadler Pantry, all volunteers must complete a mandatory training session. Trainings are offered multiple times at the beginning of each semester, including during our introductory meeting, and take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All dates will be posted in our GroupMe. If your schedule does not allow you to attend any of our training sessions, please reach out to foodforall@wm.edu.
Once you’ve been trained and registered in our system, sign up for volunteer shifts on our GivePulse (heads up–you’ll need to be logged into your W&M account). We look forward to seeing you at the pantry!
Looking for long-term support?
William & Mary’s food pantries do not require proof of need and have no limits on use. Visitors are welcome to take what they need and access the pantry as often as necessary.
At the same time, we recognize that our pantries may not be able to meet every visitor’s long-term needs. For those seeking greater food security and financial stability, especially students, we encourage exploring the following resources:
Connect with Care Support Services
Care Support Services can help students navigate challenges and connect with campus and community resources.
Apply for assistance through the HEART Fund
The HEART Fund provides emergency financial support to students facing unexpected hardships.
Utilize local food banks and community organizations
Several organizations in the Williamsburg area provide ongoing food assistance and other support services.
